Good Bye and Good Luck Martyn….
I am sure that most of you who have visited Valerie Manor have experienced the kind and welcoming smile and service from our lovely Martyn.
We were very sad to see Martyn leave this week. He has been with us here at Valerie Manor for a 1/4 of his life and so we see Martyn as part of our family so the presentation of his cake and present on Wednesday was done with all the residents and about half of the staff team.
Martyn started with us as a kitchen assistant and was very shy although always so polite. He has grown into such a lovely young gentleman whom all residents, staff and visitors love and adore. He has developed the role of the hospitality assistant coming up with constant ideas and suggestions and brightening the lives of the residents each and every day with his huge smile and big heart.
We realise that this was a huge decision for him but understand that he needs to go out and experience life and take on other opportunities now.
I am sure you will all join me to wish Martyn all the very best for his future – we know he will be successful in whatever he does and make a positive difference to the lives of everyone he meets.
