The Parish of Beeding and Bramber with Botolphs
Some of you may know Reverend Challis and Stephanie his Curate from their visits throughout the year.
Together we have looked at ways of improving the spiritual and religious needs of our residents and they came up with the attached information sheet to help us to plan their visits better and allow staff to talk to residents about how they could benefit from each visit.
We see them as part of the team here at Valerie Manor and they are always there to support not only the residents and their families but staff and myself too.
‘The clergy of this parish visit Valerie Manor regularly. We visit residents for communion sometimes called ‘The Eucharist’, ‘The Mass’ and ‘The Last Supper’. We also visit to simply listen and to chat, and we visit when invited for last rites or end of life care.
We are available to help support the residents and staff. We also visit with members of our church for Christmas and Easter services. Some residents join us for worship on Sundays, 10am at St Peter’s, Beeding and some for our monthly Tea club on the 3rd Wednesday of each month at 2.30pm.
The Church of England is a broad church and we welcome Christians of any denomination to communion. We also are very happy to listen and chat with anyone of faith or of none. If we can help you please get in touch through the staff here in Valerie Manor or directly with us.’
