Valerie Manor Care Home Open Day 2016!
We have not taken part in the National Care Home Open Day in the past but felt that we had so much to be proud of we wanted to open our doors and celebrate this year.
In 2015 we were the National Care Team of the year and were also awarded the first Outstanding rating by the CQC in West Sussex – what a year!
For those who don’t know our colour theme at Valerie Manor is purple / lilac and so Nooch made a fantastic job of baking lots of delicious cup cakes with purple icing and sprinkles and the home was decorated with purple petals, bunting and balloons. We enjoyed a morning and afternoon welcoming visitors to the home with sherry, pimm’s, prosecco, cakes along with strawberries and cream!
During the morning Louise Goldsmith, Leader of WSCC visited us and we had a lovely chat with some of our residents in the library. During the afternoon we welcomed friends and families of Valerie Manor and were delighted to open our doors to Sophie Goude, our lead inspector from the CQC, Debbie Young, head of contracts and performance at WSCC, Ian Macara, one of our local solicitors, Debbie and Peter from the Hub in Upper Beeding and Sean and Sally from the local Neighborhood plan and National Park group.
Although the rain was pouring we still enjoyed a lovely day here at Valerie Manor!
