September Activities Summary!

Hello….well the evenings are getting darker but luckily the weather has been quite kind…lovely sunsets in September as well !

Great to be regularly exercising with some of our ladies and gentlemen on a Monday morning…not forgetting visiting relatives !

Apart from our Spanish Day we also enjoyed Oktoberfest…..yes in September….on Saturday 17th September at noon the Mayor of Munich has the honour of tapping the first keg of Oktoberfest Beer in the Schollenhamel Tent.

The Festival finishes on 3rd October.  We celebrated with decorations, German Meats and Cheese and a little tipple of either German Beer….or German Wine for those who preferred it.  We played German Music and had a little ‘oomph pah pah’ whilst clapping along and stamping our feet !  A lovely time was had by all !

Again lots of different music has been requested….We enjoyed a ‘Sing-a-long with Max’ CD but still to come is Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers (I am in my element !) and Tom Jones…What’s New Pussycat Wo Wo Wo oh !!

One of our ladies sang in the Washington Choir and a Career in the St. Peter’s School Choir.

John, myself and the rest of the family would like to say a huge CONGRATULATIONS to Zoe and all the Staff for reaching the National Finals for the Care Home of the Year and West Sussex Accolades End of life care award.
A great Team at The Manor….as ever always going that extra mile to not only look after the Residents but helping their Colleagues and supporting our girl !

See you next time

Robin
