Chadia from Steyning Grammar School

We welcomed Chadia to Valerie Manor this week to undertake a weeks work experience – it has been a difficult week due to our heatwave and residents and staff have been working so hard to try to keep everyone hydrated and safe in this weather – we have also had to cancel some activities as it has been too hot to do so not a normal week for a student to visit. Chadia has been wonderful though, such a lovely polite student who you can find out more about below:

‘My Name is Chadia Latifah Duncan – I was born in Jamaica on July 6th 2000, however I was not raised in Jamaica, instead I was raised in the Turks and Caicos Islands on and Island called Brovidenciales. I have 4 dogs and 1 cat and 1 brother. I have many interests in things like archery, helping out with charities etc. Currently, I am studying at Steyning Grammar School for my A Levels qualification, the subjects I am studying are Biology, Physics and Chemistry and I want to go into medicine at University level. I have been away from home for a year now and I miss it dearly, however, moving to England was the best choice for me so I can experience new things and get a lot more opportunities that can further my knowledge of certain things and expose me to different Cultures.
