Welcome to Shirley, Assistant Curate
A warm welcome to Shirley who joins the Parish and the lovely team at 3b’s who support Valerie Manor’s residents, relatives and staff.
Here are a few words to introduce Shirley to everyone:
I moved to Upper Beeding in June 2019 to be the Assistant Curate at the parish churches of Beeding and Bramber with Botolophs. I haven’t moved far, as for the past 30 years I have lived in Worthing. I love the outdoors and, although I miss the sea, I am really enjoying being surrounded by beautiful countryside. My dog Barney, a Sproodle, (Springer cross Poodle) is delighted he has landed up here and is particularly enjoying walks along the river. Before training for ministry, I worked for 25 years as a mental health nurse and psychotherapist, first in Worthing and then in Brighton. I am married to Steve and between us we have five sons. They are nearly all adults now but we love to keep in touch and spend fun times together when we can.
