We are so appreciative of the amazing care provided by all of the staff at Valerie Manor. Our frequent visits to Nana were always a pleasure and the staff could not have been more welcoming. The whole Team were always positive and quick to lighten any situation whilst remaining professional and it was clear that this was led by Zoe who was always on hand to answer any questions.
I am writing to say that I can’t thank you and your wonderful staff enough for the care and love that you gave to our mother while she was with you. My brother and I were distraught when we had to make the decision to put our dear mother into care, but we could not have wished for a better place for her and it was just unbelievable all that you and your staff did for her and always went that extra mile to make her comfortable. You always made us so welcome whenever we visited and kept us involved in everything to do with our mother and her care. We have also made some very good friends.
During my time at Valerie Manor I have become totally impressed by the standard of care given to each and everyone of the residents. Zoe Bates; the proprietor of Valerie Manor; is one of the most driven women I have had the pleasure to know. Her definition of what 'care' is, is reflected in the staff that work around her and the faces of the residents. I have witnessed time and time again that the only focus for Zoe and her staff is, the happiness and well being of the residents. Over my time at Valerie Manor I have seen, first hand, that the staff are truly good people with a shared focus of delivering the best care possible to people that deserve to have peace and comfort.
The staff clearly know the residents very well and I often witness their ability to adapt to the diverse needs, likes and dislikes that a group of people can demand. Zoe and her staff clearly share and believe in the same vision with regard to what Valerie Manor wishes to offer its residents. I am so impressed by the lovely environment that their residents live in and I am proud to have my name attached to such an outstanding Home.
Clergy often visit homes and over my many years of clerical service I have had the privilege to be able to visit many, many similar homes but not all if any have ever been as special as Valerie Manor. There is a need in our community for such places as this one. The staff here show that they care deeply about those who live here, the staff and I mean all the staff over the years that I have been visiting Valerie Manor have shown such great dedication, professionalism and love for those who live here and perhaps one might expect it from the senior management but actually I see it is all staff no matter what rank or position they hold.
When someone comes here the changes in their lives are huge and it is easy for those on the outside to not really appreciate and engage with what new residents of Valerie Manor must be feeling. However, this place is such a happy community, a community that doesn’t survive but thrives; those who live here don’t just appear to be happy. I think they are happy. And that is a credit to Zoë and her team.
The care and management are excellent.
We have time to care properly in a homely environment.
