Emma & Debs – Firewalk!

Last Saturday Emma & Debs undertook a Fire walk in aid of St Barnabas House.

Despite the cold weather a large crowd watched as around 100 people walked on hot coals at Worthing Rugby Club.

The amount the ladies have currently raised is approaching £500 which is brilliant and thank you for everyone who has donated it is very much appreciated.

Very well done Emma & Debs we are all very proud of you!

Firewalk in Aid of St Barnabas House

Our fund raising for St Barnabas is set to continue in March when Debs & Emma are taking part in a Firewalk!!!

The event is being hosted by Worthing Rugby Club on 17th March 2018 when they will have a Family Fayre with lots going on including live screening of the 6 Nations Rugby for those that wish to see it, a bar and food stalls (and lots more!) It all starts at 2pm with the Firewalk starting at 6.30pm.

It would be lovely to see as many people as possible join us to support our intrepid duo on the day and if you were able to sponsor them it would be as always much appreciated.

Wear It Festive – St Barnabas House

We continue to support the excellent work that our friends at St Barnabas House provide not only for our residents but also for staff training and decide to wear something Christmasy (is that a word!?).

Staff and residents really enjoyed it and some very novel outfits were worn. Archie our visiting PAT dog even joined in as you can see from the photographs!

Valerie Manor Bric a Brac and Raffle for St Barnabas

When a resident some months ago suggested holding a bric a brac and raffle in aid of St Barnabas we all were so delighted with the idea – what a lovely thing to suggest. He visited charity shops each week with his daughter to purchase items that staff and visitors may want to buy for all proceeds to go to St Barnabas. At the same time Alan contacted our local business and they kindly donated prizes for our raffle as well. Thank you also to Debs and and Karen for organising and coordinating the event for us all.

It was such a success with lots of staff coming in and visitors along with residents enjoying the morning with mulled wine and mince pies.

We also managed to raise £319 for St Barnabas – thank you to everyone for their support.

Thank you also to the following local business for their support and prizes:

Nisa, Upper Beeding Pharmacy and This is My Theatre, Beeding News, Swaines Farm, One Stop computer shop, The Castle Inn and Beauty Box
