Emma & Debs – Firewalk!

Last Saturday Emma & Debs undertook a Fire walk in aid of St Barnabas House.

Despite the cold weather a large crowd watched as around 100 people walked on hot coals at Worthing Rugby Club.

The amount the ladies have currently raised is approaching £500 which is brilliant and thank you for everyone who has donated it is very much appreciated.

Very well done Emma & Debs we are all very proud of you!

Tea Party

It was the monthly tea party this week held at the Glady Bevan Hall in Upper Beeding.

Our residents and staff are welcomed by our friends of the church who volunteer to provide a regular opportunity to meet and chat not only for our residents but also anyone in the local community.

The residents enjoy excellent refreshments of tea & coffee and a large variety of cakes – thank you to everyone involved.

South Downs Trek/Run – St Barnabas House

You may recall that an intrepid team from Valerie Manor took part in the Trek last year (although because of a foot injury I had to withdraw a week before) it was an excellent event and such a great way to raise funds for St Barnabas House.

I was contacted by St Barnabas to say this year they we able to offer places for people to run the route – how could I say no???

So this Saturday I will be running from Devils Dyke along the South Downs Way to St Barnabas House in Worthing (21 miles) and would be very grateful for any donations you could make.

If you would like to donate on our Just Giving page please follow the link below.

Rabbit Hole Club

Yesterday was this months Rabbit Hole Club and once again Andy, our head chef created a delicious menu featuring Vegetable samosas, crudites, tzatziki, salmon bites BBQ pulled pork sliders, breaded whitebait and tempura prawns!!!

It was another wonderful evening and following on from a request at the last meeting, I produced song sheets for the “We are the Ovaltiney’s” which we all sang together (some better than others!)

If you haven’t attended yet, please do, it really is an enjoyable evening.
